Hot trends for 2012

  Last week I was in Atlanta for the Gift and Accessory show.  I always look forward to seeing what the new trends are going to be.  Acryllic has been hot but I had a new appreciation for it when I saw this amazing buffet (side panels in acryllic) and chair.  Ooollllaaaaa.......                               

In lighting I saw the use of glass, metals, and natural materials creating art pieces. I can't wait to find the perfect home for this little jewel.

I was obsessed with this lamp.  Its a piece of jewlrey.  No other place for this but in my bedroom.

Bar carts have become so popular.  They are multi functioning and great for entertaining.  The red is available in many other colors. 

Trays made out of all types of materials were a big hit.  This silver one is made in Argentina I particularly  like this one because of the horns used as handles.  Trays are great to use when entertaining, or used on top of an ottoman.  I have also set them on a luggage rack and used it as a night stand.  Stop into Crimson boutique in March because we will have all types of them in stock for immediate purchase.

    

This glass vase was a show stopper!!  The classic urn shape, made in all glass, gives it a modern twist.  Beautiful for weddings or on a mantle.  We will be posting more of our favorites as they arrive in the shop. 

High Point Furniture Show

Its that time again for the 2011 Spring High Point Furniture Show. The High Point market is to home furnishings what New York fashion week is to the world of fashion. After the hard long winter my soul is needing some southern sunshine and design inspiration so I am especially excited to attend this year. High Point is a host to thousands of national and international guests. From emerging companies showing their brand new products to buyers scouting the latest and greatest design and furniture. This show is thee place to be for all lovers of interior design.

This one building is just one of the many that cater to 1000's of furniture makers, art, accessories, rugs, and the list goes on. I will be posting my favorite new trends and new pieces that will soon be hitting our 'Crimson' boutique in downtown Columbus.

Maison de Object

In September, Louie and I had the pleasure of attending the Maison de Object show for the first time. I was so inspired to see what the International creators were creating. Lighting, fabrics, unique plumbing fixtures, furniture, and lists goes on and on. I am giving a brief look into some of my favorite things. New Attractions - Texas Trip!

Recently I attended the trade show in Dallas, Tx. I wanted to post pictures of a few of my favorite must have’s. I repeatedly go to these companies to find pieces I love. Companies represented are Two’s Company, 18 Karat, Barbara Cosgrove, Bethel International,and KN.

I loved the color combination in the bedding of the turquoise and green with the splash of pink. Stay tuned to see more of that color combination. The simplicity and clean look of the low marble tables with the white accents allows a space to look larger - as well as gives my mind ability to create and breathe. And, look at the poppy red - spring is in the air!!! The small vases from Global Views are perfect for those fresh-picked, Spring blooms.
