Spa Bath Redesign: Before and After

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Jan and Dante Colosimo. I so enjoyed getting to know the two of them better as we took on the project of remodeling these two bathrooms. One bathroom was a complete re-haul. As you can see from the before pictures of the Master bathroom there were a few eye-sores such as carpeted floors (a BIG no-no), blinding Hollywood vanity lights, and a dated brown cultured marble shower, an update was desperately needed. We wanted to create a spa-like retreat feel - a relaxing get-away space you can walk in to at the end of a long day where you can release a sigh of relief. Often in working with a husband and wife team there are compromises that have to be made, well for these two the soaking tub and shower were a must. A non-negotiable for the master bath.

We selected the tile for the walls because of the color and texture. It had the beautiful lustre of silk. Visit Hamilton Parker

The guest bath was more of a cosmetic makeover. We painted the cabinets, changed the hardware, lighting, mirrors, tile surround in bath and floor tile.

drum roll please........

A thank you goes to Jan and Dante for giving us the honor to work with them. Really a pleasure and it came with lots of laughs and the wonderful personality they both brought to the project.

Introducing: Red Chandelier

Spring is knocking at our doors and it's time to re-think our interior and exterior spaces. With warm weather comes parties, events, and get-togethers with new friends, old friends, family and neighbors. Is your home ready?

If you said 'No', take the express route with Red Chandelier! Give your home a quick and painless lift with our accelerated design service.

All we need is one day in your space with your stuff and our style. Seems easy, right? Let our talented design team come to you!

Here are a few before and after photos of a client's home where Red Chandelier was the perfect service for this family.

In order to add a dramatic effect we grouped different pieces together on the wall. As you can see in this picture below there was only one piece on this large wall originally. When you have a large space to fill hang multiple pieces instead of just one.

We changed the window treatment to simple drapery panels to accent the height and give this room a real focal point.

The painted stripes really dressed up this small space and gave it a look all on its own.

We will tailor our services to your needs: we can choose new paint colors and accents, select window treatments, lighting, and flooring, or completely re-arrange your furniture and add to your style. Whatever it may be, you can be sure it will feel like your home, only better!

Tune in to Channel 28 on Tuesday morning at 7am to see a live room makeover done by the Crimson Design Team.

Inspired by gratitude and nature

I recently had the honor of working with Lee Ann, Daryl and their boys. As in all of our projects, our inspiration comes from finding out what inspires the household and in turn reflecting that in the final design.

This world class traveling family has found inspiration in travel and nature. It was important to find the right space for these majestic pieces of inspiration. They have traveled the world in search for just the right one. With great care, these animals were given the best seats in the house. For Lee Ann and Daryl the animals are a reminder of God's faithfulness and His many blessing they have experienced in their lives.

When you enter this home, you truly encounter the gift of hospitality. There is a peace and comfort that radiates to everyone that enters. Once you step in, you never want to leave. I was ready to move in. You really want to know more about the people that live in this house and know the stories behind each room.

About a stones throw from the home sits their charming B&B, called the Miller Haus. It rests on a beautiful hill that looks over some of Ohio's lush countryside. Lee Ann's gift of hospitality spills over into your experience when staying there. So all you city-slickers, take a day or two out of the city to come to the country. You will not be disappointed. It's so peaceful. The food is delicious and is truly comfort food at its finest. After all, isn't it nice to have a completely different pace in life? Even if it's for one or two days, we can all use the time to reflect about what is important in life. Thank you Lee Ann and family for being a true inspiration.

Before of Living room

Work in progress for living room

Adding wall paper to the back of the bookcases and over the mantle really

give a focal point and add a sophistication to the room.

The red on the wall really has a nice romantic glow at night.
